OBSTETRIC SERVICES – Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN).
ULTRASOUND – An ultrasound scan uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of the inside of the body. It is suitable for use during pregnancy. Ultrasound scans, or sonography, are safe because they use sound waves or echoes to make an image, instead of radiation.
DOPPLER – A Doppler ultrasound is a noninvasive test that can be used to estimate the blood flow through your blood vessels by bouncing high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) off circulating red blood cells. A regular ultrasound uses sound waves to produce images, but can’t show blood flow.
PCOS management- Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a condition that affects a woman’s hormone levels. Women with PCOS produce higher-than-normal amounts of male hormones. This hormone imbalance causes them to skip menstrual periods and makes it harder for them to get pregnant.
Fibroids- Fibroids are abnormal growths that develop in or on a woman’s uterus. Sometimes these tumors become quite large and cause severe abdominal pain and heavy periods. In other cases, they cause no signs or symptoms at all. The growths are typically benign, or noncancerous. The cause of fibroids is unknown.
Endometriosis – Endometriosis (en-doe-me-tree-O-sis) is an often painful disorder in which tissue similar to the tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — grows outside your uterus. Endometriosis most commonly involves your ovaries, fallopian tubes, and the tissue lining your pelvis.
Adenomyosis- Adenomyosis is a condition in which the inner lining of the uterus (the endometrium) breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus (the myometrium). Adenomyosis can cause menstrual cramps, lower abdominal pressure, and bloating before menstrual periods and can result in heavy periods.
Menstruation Irregularities / Adolescent Health – Menstrual irregularities are problems with a girl’s normal monthly period. For example, girls may miss periods, have them too frequently, have painful periods, or have an excessively heavy flow. Menstrual irregularities can sometimes be a sign of an underlying health issue. Adolescent health, or youth health, is the range of approaches to preventing, detecting, or treating young people’s health and well-being. The terms adolescent and young people are often used interchangeably, as are the terms Adolescent Health and Youth Health.
Cancer Screening (Cervix, Ovary, Uterus, Vagina & Breast)- Screening means checking your body for cancer before you have symptoms. Getting screening tests regularly may find breast, cervical, and colorectal (colon) cancers early when treatment is likely to work best. Lung cancer screening is recommended for some people who are at high risk.
Laparoscopic Surgeries – Laparoscopy is a type of surgical procedure that allows a surgeon to access the inside of the abdomen (tummy) and pelvis without having to make large incisions in the skin. This procedure is also known as keyhole surgery or minimally invasive surgery.
